The short-term outlook is bullish. At current price (S$9.75), Key Support (Stop-loss) should be placed at S$8.95, while Upside Targets at S$10.20 and S$10.70. Note that momentum indicators (MACD and RSI) show the stock is a bit stretched.

Riverstone Holdings (RSTON.SP)

Q: Are thematic ETFs better than main index ETFs?

A: (Ming Lam, Trading Central Deputy Head of Research)

Thematic or Sector ETFs usually outperform Main Index ETFs — provided that the theme or sector you choose is on a bullish trend. Same logic, when a Thematic or Sector ETF reverses to the downside, it can generate bigger and quicker losses than a Main Index ETF does.

If you have time to study, monitor and shift between Thematic or Sector ETFs, it is good. If you are a bit lazy, Main Index ETFs are better for you.
