Temporary Adjustment to Daily Price Limits on SET50 Index Futures to Take Effect from 23 to 27 June 2025

23 Jun 2025

Please be informed that the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has announced a temporary adjustment to daily price limits for listed securities and derivatives, effective from 23 to 27 June 2025, in response to heightened regional tensions and domestic political developments.

Key Changes:

  • The daily price movement limit will be tightened from ±30% to ±15% for listed shares
  • This adjustment also applies to Futures, Options, Sector Futures, and Single Stock Futures.
  • Depositary Receipts (DRs) are not affected by this change.

This move comes as market volatility increases due to heightened tensions in the Middle East and political uncertainty within Thailand, including recent border closures with Cambodia and statements from the Thai Prime Minister’s office.

The revised limits will affect instruments such as SET50 Index Futures, potentially influencing trading strategies and expected volatility. We encourage all clients with exposure to Thai markets to remain vigilant and manage positions accordingly.
