Trade selected US Shares CFDs 24 hours a day

14 Sep 2026

From 28 September 2026, Phillip Nova will introduce 24-hour trading for 40 selected US shares CFDs, available on both NOVA and Phillip MT5.

With extended trading hours from Monday 8:00am to Saturday 5:00am SGT (US DST), you’ll have greater flexibility to react to market-moving news and manage your positions beyond regular US market hours — all at zero commission.

Key dates to note

26 – 27 September 2026Existing open positions in the affected contracts will be automatically transferred to the new 24-hour contracts. No action is required for the transfer.

Please note that any working orders, including stop-loss and take-profit orders, will not carry over. If you have existing positions or working orders, we recommend reviewing them before 26 September 2026.
28 September 202624-hour trading goes live for all 40 selected US shares CFDs on NOVA and Phillip MT5.

What’s changing?

Currently, the selected US shares CFDs are available under contracts with defined trading sessions.

From 28 September 2026, trading for these shares will move to new 24-hour contracts, giving you access to the market across the US pre-market, regular trading and after-hours sessions.

The new 24-hour contracts will be identified by the suffix -24H (e.g. AAPL-24H).

24-hour trading hours
Monday 8:00am – Saturday 5:00am SGT (US DST)

The extended hours will apply to 40 US shares CFDs across NASDAQ and NYSE, including Apple, Amazon, Tesla, Microsoft and Nvidia.

What happens to your existing open positions

If you trade on NOVA

If you have open positions in any of the 40 affected CFDs before the transition to the new contracts, they will be automatically transferred to the corresponding 24-hour contracts over the weekend of 26–27 September.

No action is required for the transfer. Here’s what to expect:

  • Your market exposure remains unchanged
Your open positions will be transferred to the corresponding 24-hour contract. If you hold multiple open positions in the same contract, they will be combined into a single position at the average price of your entries.
  • Accumulated swap points will be settled, not lost
Any swap points accrued up to the transfer will be settled and reflected as Realised P&L in your statement, rather than carried forward as part of your unrealised position.
  • Your unrealised P&L will continue to reflect your original entry price
Following the transfer, your unrealised P&L will continue to be calculated based on your original entry price, excluding the swap amount that has already been settled as Realised P&L.

In short, your position and market exposure carry over to the new 24-hour contract automatically, while accumulated swap is separately settled into your Realised P&L.

If you trade on Phillip MT5

If you hold open positions in any of the affected contracts over the weekend of 26–27 September 2026, they will be automatically transferred to the corresponding 24-hour contracts.

No action is required for the transfer. Here’s what to expect:

  • Your open positions will be transferred automatically
Positions in the existing PM and main contracts will be transferred to the corresponding new -24H contract.
  • Positions on the same side will be consolidated
Buy positions across the existing PM and main contracts will be combined into a single buy position. Sell positions will similarly be combined into a single sell position.

Each consolidated position will have a new volume-weighted average entry price, rounded down to the number of decimal places quoted for the contract.
  • Your buy and sell exposure will remain separate
Buy and sell positions will not be netted against each other. Your overall buy and sell exposure will remain in line with what you held before the transfer.
  • Your unrealised P&L will remain unchanged across the combined positions
  • Accumulated swap will be realised
Any accumulated swap will be realised when your positions are transferred to the new 24-hour contract.

Example

Before the transfer

ContractSideVolumePrice
APPLE-NDAQBuy10319.850
APPLE-NDAQSell5318.651
AAPL-PMBuy3319.450
AAPL-PMBuy2319.111
AAPL-PMSell1319.990

After the transfer

ContractSideVolumeWeighted average price (Round down to 3dp)
AAPL-24HBuy15319.671
AAPL-24HSell6318.874

In this example, your buy exposure remains at 15 shares and your sell exposure remains at 6 shares. The positions are simply consolidated under AAPL-24H, with a single weighted average entry price for each side.

Please note that working orders placed on the existing PM or main contracts will not carry over to the new 24-hour contracts.

This includes orders such as stop-loss and take-profit orders.

If you have working orders on any affected contracts, we recommend reviewing them before the transition. Where required, you will need to place new working orders on the corresponding -24H contract after 24-hour trading goes live on 28 September.

What should you do?

For the transfer of your existing open positions, no action is required. However, we encourage you to review your positions before the transition, particularly if you wish to close or adjust them beforehand.

From 28 September 2026, simply look for the new -24H contracts on NOVA or Phillip MT5 to trade the selected US Shares CFDs around the clock.
