💸The price of Bitcoin (BTC) fell for a fifth day in a row due to the recent flurry of negative macroeconomic news. The current winter has been described by analysts as one characterized by fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Recently, Bitcoin was trading at $19,400, down 2% over the previous day. The crypto fall dovetails the recent fall in US Stock Indices.

😫Struggling cryptocurrency lender Celsius Network is alleged to be insolvent, according to the Department of Financial Regulation (DFR) of the American state of Vermont. The DFR noted that the lender lacks the assets and liquidity to fulfil its obligations to account holders and other creditors. Since June, Celsius stopped accepting withdrawals, made employment layoffs due to its financial predicament.

🕵️‍♂️Several U.S.-based cryptocurrency lenders are being investigated by the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) after a number of well-known lenders stopped allowing withdrawals and transfers between user accounts. The government is looking out for firms providing crypto interest-bearing accounts without disclosing risks customers face when using their platforms.
